SAM LEVINE

My name is Sam Levine and I live in the Bay Area with my wife and child. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Colorado University, and a Master's Degree in Political Science from Cal State Northridge. My entire professional career is dedicated to supporting Israel and combating antisemitism. For two years I was the Executive Director of the West Coast region for the Zionist Organization of America (the oldest pro-Israel group in the U.S.). In this role I gave dozens of lectures on college and high school campuses about Israel. I also wrote articles and organized major Israel education events. In my current position as Director of one of the country's leading private Jewish foundations I continue to be involved in combating antisemitism and educating college students.

Much of the rapid growth in antisemitism we have witnessed recently can be directly tied to the anti-Israel propaganda and slander transmitted by the media, schools and popular entertainers. The political left has a monopoly over education in our country which leads to our children adopting values anathema to our own. By teaching a class on Israel and Zionism for Inspired Virtual, I hope, in a small way, to push back against the growing radicalization of our youth.

In my class, we will discuss the soul-stirring journey of the Jewish people. We will learn the foundations of Judaism; an age appropriate history of antisemitism; the history of the Jewish people in the land of Israel; the birth of Zionism; the importance of Jewish self defense; and the miracle of Israel's rebirth in 1948. We will also discuss interesting facts about the current state of Israel.
