Age Range: 12-16 Schedule: Fridays Learning Goals: The goal of this class is to fulfill the purpose of the President's Advisory 1776 Commission, which is to “enable a rising generation to understand the history and principles of the founding of the United States in 1776 and to strive to form a more perfect Union.” - and to have some engaging fun times doing it! Homework: Homework will include some reading, research, writing assignments, and memorization. Estimated time outside of class: 1-2 hours per week. Assessment: Progress will be determined by the student's completing the assignments and participating in class. A letter grade will be offered; however, parents may request to opt out.
