Class Description

Age Range: 10-14 Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursday for 12 weeks Learning Goals: Students will learn to identify common cognitive biases and how to disarm them. Homework: The student will read the guidebook, The Tuttle Twins Guide to Beware Your Bias by Conner Boyack, and complete a short assignment for the next class. Estimated time outside of class: 30min to 1 hour per week Assessment: Records of grades/scores available upon parent request. Learner Supply List: The guidebook, The Tuttle Twins Guide to Beware Your Bias by Conner Boyack, Paper and pen for taking notes Course Description: This class will discuss topics and identify biases. The students will engage in lively discussions and practice the techniques learned in class. The students will be able to name and identify 23 common biases and learn to refute/argue them.
