Class Description

Age Range: Middle School Schedule: Mondays for 12 weeks Learning Goals: Understanding the US. Constitution helps students become informed citizens by delving into the history and structure of the U.S. Constitution. This course covers the birth of the Constitution, the branches of government, the articles, and the amendments. Homework: Homework may consist of watching videos, reading articles and passages, and writing. Estimated time outside of class: 1-2.5 hours Assessment: Students will receive narrative feedback and progress reports mid-semester and end of semester based upon class participation, homework and quizzes/tests. These various sections consist of short readings followed by questions and assorted student activities. We may also watch short videos in class. A cumulative test may be given at the end of class.
